It didn't at first. Seriously, you're uploading a thing you've created; how can you not go back to check on it from time to time? Did you not notice the preview wasn't working when viewing the main map page?

I've already fixed the thing for you. Same with the previous entry. When uploading to Imgur copy the link and just add ".png" behind it (without the quote marks).

You keep posting image URLs that don't actually end with an image extension, thus breaking the map preview on the site. Always add ".png" or ".jpg" after the URL, depending on the image.

The next entry you post with a broken entry gets removed.
